Please be advised of the following planned engineering works on the IP Voice Services platform:

Date: 22:00 to 23:59 on Wednesday, 14/08/2013.

Purpose
The Engineering Team will be performing works to update the dial plan used by the Call Director service to enable better compatibility with international dialling and carrying out patching of the Call Routing Servers to address a management bug between 2200 on 14/08/2013 and 0000 on 15/08/2013.

Impact
The works to make the Call Director Dial Plan changes will have no effect on service and will be performed first in this window.

The Call Routing Servers are deployed in a redundant pair and therefore services will be moved from one to the other whilst they are patched. Though there is no expected downtime due to their redundancy there may be a brief period where post dial delay is increased for users as service is migrated from the primary to secondary server and other call processing elements are notified of this.

As these servers are used as part of the provisioning process in the SPA and BP please refrain from carrying out any provisioning actions during this window unless absolutely necessary.

The BT IPVS Engineering Team will be closely monitoring all systems and services, as well as the above, to ensure any disruption is as brief as possible if experienced.
